About Pathfinder

What it is

Pathfinder is a football trivia game about careers. Instead of a photo or a stat, you get the clubs a player represented, in order, and you work out who it is. It started as a single quiz and now has a daily puzzle, a 3×3 grid and a step-by-step mode.

Who it’s for

Anyone who follows football. Beginner quizzes stick to household names; expert ones dig into cult heroes, loan spells and the players only the real anoraks remember. The classic era goes back to the First Division of the 1960s and ’70s.

Where the data comes from

Career paths are compiled from the senior-career tables on Wikipedia and refreshed regularly, so this summer’s transfers are included. Only senior club spells count: academy sides, reserve and B teams, and international football are left out. Loan spells are marked.

If you spot a mistake, the fix is usually on Wikipedia itself, and it will flow through at the next refresh.

The crests

Every crest on the site is an original design in the club’s colours with a short code. We don’t use official badges, and Pathfinder isn’t connected to any club or league.

Who makes it

Pathfinder is a small independent project made by football fans in Bangkok. Thanks for playing.
